Gwen Alden, Physical Therapist and Owner of HealthWest Physical Therapy landed in San Marcos, CA after moving every few years with her husband who was a Naval Officer, and their 3 daughters.
She studied Physical Therapy and Health Sciences at The University of Missouri and proceeded to work in various fast-paced settings around the country including inpatient care, outpatient and sports rehab, neurological units, skilled nursing facilities, and home health. Passionate about helping people and having an athlete’s mindset, the decision to open her own private practice in an outpatient and sports performance setting was a natural fit.
With encouragement from family and friends, Gwen started HealthWest Therapy in 2015. In her free time, Gwen loves to travel with her husband Joe, watch and play volleyball with her 3 girls and spend time in the kitchen and at the beach. She also coaches volleyball and works closely with the staff and members at SoCal Volleyball Club.
Grateful for an amazing opportunity to do what she loves, Gwen makes sure that all of her clients, both young and not so young, get the quality time, care, and compassion during their recovery that they deserve.
